S.A.S.S
St. Anthony’s Secondary School—my fourth high school—was where something in me unlocked. I leveled up from black-and-white to the world of color. I felt like a black sheep among unfamiliar faces, outsiders who weren’t outsiders at all. But for a time, it seemed that way—a solemn chapter of my journey that I hold dearly. (Age 15-17)
This piece portrays me gazing at myself on the left in my P.E. uniform a reflection of the conversations I often had within.
Created on two 18x24 inch watercolor paper, with colored pencils and chalk pastels.
In these prior years, I found myself alone with my thoughts—reflecting, reshaping, yet still rebellious and free-spirited.
